Porcelain veneers in Charlotte, NC.
Conservative prep, layered porcelain, and a smile designed to look like it belongs to you. Every case planned and placed by the same doctor at our Uptown studio.
What porcelain veneers actually are
A porcelain veneer is a thin, custom-shaped shell of dental ceramic — usually between 0.3 and 0.7 millimeters — bonded to the front surface of a tooth. Done well, veneers change color, shape, spacing, and the way light plays across the smile. Done badly, they look like a row of piano keys.
The difference is almost never the porcelain. The difference is the doctor, the plan, and the lab.
How we do veneers at GLO
Every porcelain case at GLO follows the same disciplined workflow, whether you are getting six teeth restored or a full twenty-veneer transformation:
- Consultation and digital records. Photos, a full-arch intraoral scan, and a conversation about what you actually want your smile to do — smile lines, tooth length, gum position, the tone that will read as natural on your skin.
- Digital Smile Design preview (optional add-on). A 3D mock-up of the final result you can approve, adjust, or reject before we touch a tooth.
- Conservative preparation. We remove the minimum amount of enamel needed to seat the veneers correctly. This is the opposite of the aggressive full-crown "Turkey teeth" approach that grinds teeth down to nubs.
- Trial smile. You wear temporaries designed to preview the final shape, so you can live in the smile for a week and give us feedback before the porcelain is finalized.
- Final placement. Layered porcelain bonded with proven adhesive systems, checked for bite, polished, and photographed for your records.
- Follow-up. A one-week check, a one-month check, and six-month recalls — all in Uptown Charlotte, all with the same doctor.
Materials and lab work
We work with a focused set of U.S. dental laboratories that we have used for years. Every veneer is layered by a master ceramist, not stamped out of a machine, and every case comes with a materials record you can request at any time. Our two porcelain tiers use different levels of custom lab work and shading detail — the difference between a beautifully consistent smile and a signature, one-of-one result.
Timeline: what to expect
Most porcelain veneer cases at GLO complete over two to three main visits across three to six weeks:
- Week 0 — Consultation. Ninety minutes. Photos, scan, and a plan.
- Week 2 to 3 — Preparation and trial smile. Two to three hours in the chair. You leave with temporaries.
- Week 4 to 6 — Final placement. Two to three hours. You leave with veneers.
- Week 7 and beyond — Follow-up. Short visits, no charge, as often as you need.
Cases that also include alignment (Invisalign or braces) run longer — usually six to twelve months for the alignment phase followed by the veneer phase. See our alignment page for how we sequence combined cases.
Cost of porcelain veneers in Charlotte, NC
We publish every porcelain and composite tier openly on our pricing section. There are no upsells at the consultation and no surprise charges at the end. Our doctors most often recommend a ten-veneer case for the best aesthetic outcome — it covers the full visible smile line and eliminates the transition between treated and natural teeth.
If you are comparing our all-inclusive number to a quote from Turkey or Mexico, we built a full breakdown of the real math.
Who porcelain veneers are for
Porcelain is the right answer for patients who want the most durable, most natural-looking option and plan to keep the smile for a decade or more. If you want a lower-cost or less invasive first step, we also offer a 3D-printed resin composite veneer that gives you the same aesthetic with a shorter service life — see the pricing page for details, or ask us at your consultation.
Great porcelain is invisible. That is the entire point.
